Here is a list of all the most commonly asked questions we hear from our customers. If you can’t find the answer to any questions you may have or you still aren’t sure about anything please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and we'll be happy to talk you through it.
 

What are your office opening times?

The office is open from 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday apart from Bank Holidays when we are closed.

Can I contact you out of office hours?

If your call is urgent and you need to get hold of us when the office is closed then please ring either Mike Bull on 07966520576 or Katie Skipper on 07785461865.

How do I pay you?

In most cases we offer our customers a 30 day credit account but if this is not possible then you can pay by credit/debit card, cheque or BACs.

Can I open a credit account?

Any business can open a credit account with us subject to a credit check. This check will determine whether we can offer you an account and the credit limit we can give you.

How do I set up a credit account?

To set up a credit account you simply need to complete our quick online form or get in touch with us. We will send you out a new account form that will request a few details from you about your company. With this we will carry out our credit check and inform you of your credit limit which can be used to pay for any of our services.

Do you offer UK Transport?

Yes, we can deliver anything you have to anywhere in the UK. We have our own fleet of vans and small trucks and have access to any type or size of vehicle you need to go wherever in the UK you need them.

Do you offer International Transport?

Yes, we offer all types of services to any worldwide destination no matter what you are sending. We can provide anything from European Road Freight Services to Worldwide Air and Sea Freight Services and heavily discounted International Courier rates. Do you ship Hazardous Goods?

Yes, we can ship many kinds of hazardous freight but there are some restrictions so please contact us for more details.

Do you offer Packing Services?

Yes, through our sister company, Advance Packing Ltd, we can offer a specialist export packing service meaning we can pack and ship your items all from under one roof. Please visit Advance Packing’s website for more details about their services.

What size vehicle do I need you to send to pick up my items?

Don’t worry about this, we’ll work it all out for you. Just let us know dimensions and weights of your items and we’ll find the cheapest way of getting them to their destination to suit your time scales.

When is the cut off time for same day collection?

This can depend on many factors such as where you are based, what kind of vehicle you need and our availability but we will always try our upmost to accommodate your needs. Just get in touch and we’ll do our best to get to you that day.

Can you palletise my Items?

Yes, Our sister company, Advance Packing Limited, can palletise all your items for you at our custom built warehouse so you don’t need to worry about a thing.

What is the biggest shipment you can move?

We have extensive contacts in the industry, so if it’s too big for us to move it we will organise someone to move it for us. We will manage everything for you and make sure it gets to where it needs to go no matter how big it is.

What is the heaviest shipment you can move?

We have extensive contacts in the industry so it doesn’t matter how heavy it is, we will be able to get it moved for you. If we can’t move it ourselves we will closely manage one of our tried and tested partners to move your item no matter how heavy it is and no matter where it needs to go.

How much notice do you require for collection?

We are very flexible on collection arrangements and we will always try and accommodate your needs. Many times we can offer a same day collection but please get in touch and let us know what best suits you.

How should I pack my items for transit?

If you are packing your items yourself then please make sure that all smaller items are packed securely within boxes and separated by bubble wrap. Larger items and groups of boxes should also be securely fixed to pallets where possible. We can provide any materials that you might need and can advise on what the best packaging method for your items. If you would rather leave the packing to the professionals then our experienced team at Advance Packing will be happy to securely pack all your items using whatever method is best suited to the item and the transport method.

Do you offer online tracking?

Yes we do with our courier service. We will give you all the details you need to track your items once you have had your collection booked in.

What documentation do I need for shipping?

When you make a booking with us we wi ll guide you through all the documentation you need for your items, their method of transport and their destination. In general you will need a commercial invoice for any shipments bound for outside the EU and we can fulfil any EUR1 and ATR requirements.

What are Shipping Terms?

Shipping terms are the terms of sale stated on the commercial invoice and determines the buyers/sellers responsibility for the transport of the goods. Please see our Shipping Terms page for an explanation of these terms.

Do you offer insurance?

Yes, we have two type of insurance. A basic policy is included with all our shipments free of charge as legislated by BIFA however this can be upgraded to our Full Marine Insurance Cover. Rates for our full cover depend entirely on your items and their destination. If you have any further questions or would like a quotation please get in touch.

Do you provide proof of delivery?

Yes. Proof of delivery can be supplied on request.

Who do I call if something goes wrong?

In the unlikely event that something happens with your shipment we won’t leave you in the dark, just give us a ring and we’ll try and resolve any problems for you.

How do I make an insurance claim?

If you need to claim on your insurance policy that you took out with us then please give us a ring and we will deal with your claim for you.
